Many in this town says, vikram is not the rite person to get the national award and it can be given to kamal hassan or atleast to surya. Bcos, Vikram does'nt even speak in the film called "Pithamagan" and if the award goes to all the people, who doesnt speak, all the actors will choose dumb roles in the future films.
I feel it cud have been given to surya for Pithamagan.
I dont think so jenny bcoz for the role in pitamagan he required no dialogues excpt a song which ofcourse heros don't normally sing .This makes me wonder if you had ever seen the movie.I have my uncle who is retarded and I couldn't believe that MANY reactions he was showing in the movie was so..so... natural .All you need to do is to live in the character and evolve truely which I guess he did it to perfection.As far as surya is concerned he was mostly having the curious looks with eyee always rolling.He did a good job no doubt.But you shouldn't forget that Surya's role was intersting so people forget to note the actions of Vikram when he was with surya.It was difficult to observe Vikram so much bcoz of the way Surya was given more importance than Vikram bcoz of the narration.Vikram had to emote and not talk which is difficult to observe
